Laura Aguilar in Focus
At this special gathering, explore Laura Aguilar’s radical and deeply personal photography practice and commitment to accessibility, visibility, and representation of marginalized identities. In partnership with The American LGBTQ+ Museum, participants will delve into how Aguilar created a visual language that centered the queer Latina/o community in Los Angeles and challenged dominant narratives about beauty, belonging, and power while working at the intersection of race, sexuality, gender, and body politics.
