    The blotter includes land grants and deeds processed in San Francisco District from 1847 to 1849. The grants and deeds are signed by alcaldes George Hyde and Thaddeus Leavenworth. The list includes deeds involving Sam Brannan, John White Geary, Thomas Ap Catesby Jones, William A. Leidesdorff, Robert T. Ridley, and J. D. Stevenson. Some of the entries are accompanied by hand drawn plats.

Tansley for land purchased from Phillips (1882), and a certificate of title to Tweedy describing the location of his land, including that purchased from Phillips (1883).

    Official petition of Shawanoe and Delaware Indian Chiefs to the President of the United States

    Manuscripts

    Official petition by the Shawnee and Delaware Indians to President James Monroe regarding their land and rights. It is signed by several native indivduals. There is also a letter by Pierre Menard, President of the Illinois Territorial Council, to William Clark, American explorer and Governor of Missouri Territory, dated 1818, January 6, about the petition. The volume includes typed transcriptions of the letter and petition.

    Sadd family deeds

    Manuscripts

    The five deeds relate to land owned by Thomas Sadd, Jr., in Windsor, Connecticut (1746-1763). Many of these deeds still have their seals. The three receipts deal with the Sadd family in Hartford, Connecticut (1850-1851).
